Wedding Bus Hire Aberdeen
There are quite a few reasons why you may hire a bus in Aberdeen. In the football season many groups of football supporters will hire a bus to journey south to big games like Celtic and Rangers games played in one of the best cities in Scotland, Glasgow.
You may not be a football supporter luckily the football season finishes in the summer and the wedding season starts. A lot of wedding parties hire buses. This is usually up to the groom, bride or best man to organise a collection point for the wedding party. This saves everyone trying to find the church and ceremony venue. It’s a great option if you have a large wedding party out in a county house hotel somewhere. Hiring a bus in Aberdeen or Aberdeenshire will help many at the wedding party as they can all meet in Aberdeen and get on the bus. The driver will then go to the ceremony and reception venues and no one at the wedding party has to worry about drinking and driving.

Of course there are draw backs to bus hire for wedding parties to. These include getting back from the reception once it’s finished. There may be half of the wedding party that plan to stay the night in the hotel and the other half may be trying to get home after the wedding reception. In this case many bus hire companies in Aberdeen can accommodate for both an evening bus departure and a late morning bus departure depending on the bus hire companies booking schedule. Please note that if there are two collection you will probably have to pay more to hire the bus for the second day.
Birthday parties and group activity schemes like hill walking and mountain climbing are other such reasons why you may be looking to hire a bus. I know from personal experience walking groups travel all over Scotland to bag a few Munro’s over a weekend. A lot of hill climbing and walking can be involved and if you are travelling from Aberdeen it can be a long journey to parts of the west coast with some of the most famous walks on the British Isles. This is an ideal time to start looking into hiring a bus as it’s is one less stress you will have to deal with after a long weekend of walking and hill climbing.
Back to weddings and you’ve got hen and stag do’s. Hiring a bus for one of these events is a must as there is usually a lot of drink involved and if you are in a rural location taxi fares could escalate into the hundreds. Some buses will even offer the luxury of allowing you to drink on the bus prior to your next pub. And you’ll be happy to hear that depending on the type of bus that you may hire you could even have its own personal toilet for you hen or stag do. A great bonus when it comes to consuming large quantities of alcoholic beverages.

There are many reasons why you be looking into hiring a bus here are a few:
• Group Activity
• Wedding Party
• Stag/hen do
• Funeral
• Holiday
• Family travel
• Boozy weekend
• Football
Before ringing around any of the bus hire companies in Aberdeen/Aberdeenshire there is some information you must get together first.
The size of your group: How many people will be going on the bus/coach. This is probably the number one consideration. You’ll also have to have a definite number – if some members pull out you’ll still have to pay the set price as agreed with bus hire company as it’s still going to cost them the same amount of money to transport you in the bus and it could be costing them a booking if you cancel or try and re-negotiate the price at the last minute. Consider this.
The dates and times of your travel: Will you require the hire for just an evening/afternoon? Or the whole day. Or maybe you require the hire of the bus for more than one day, if so all this has to be considered also. So dates and times are key – the earlier you book your bus hire the more likely you will get the date that you require. Obviously high season for bus rental is in the summer months and at weekends when there are usually more wedding parties taking place.
Driver or no driver?: Depending on the size of the bus you require you may not require to hire out the bus driver. Some smaller mini van/busses don’t require any type of special license. If it is only a small party that are hiring the bus then you might be able to hire the bus similar to how you would hire a car. Obviously bus hire companies are usually a lot smaller than bigger car hire companies so they may not offer such a service. But it’s worth considering if you are on a tight budget.
Location of trip: So you’ve got your numbers calculated, times and dates. What about the actual journey in the bus. Where will you be going? You might have planned a trip to the continent or isles. If so you’re going to have to let the bus hire company know where exactly you’ll be going on their bus. Depending on the size of the bus you may be limited on some ferry crossing. There is also the added factor of insurance that the bus company may have to work into the cost of your bus hire.
I believe the above factors outlined are the main considerations when hiring a bus in Aberdeen.
